Obama

I am reading a fictional book about people that are living in the last days. They have had major world crisis and the President has been killed. I was reading a conversation between the secretary of defense and the president of the f.b.i. and it struck me that it was describing Obama perfectly. Here it is.....see what you think:

"The president we elected. He was good and smooth and said all the right things. But he didn't love his country, at least not like you and I do. Not like our fathers. Not like our grandfathers. He saw our country as not that much different from all the others, not much better, in some ways maybe worse. He saw our sins and determined they precluded us form any further greatness. It wasn't that he had an evil heart, he just couldn't see or didn't choose to see the good that was our country."

What do you think?

Twilight

On Thursday night at Midnight Twilight the movie came out. There was a group of us that are die hard Twilight fans so we bought our tickets for the movie last week. We went to Red Robin for dinner and then picked up our friend Amy that had just had surgery that afternoon. We went and got our seats at 930 p.m. We had so much fun. I didn't get home until 3. We were calling ourselves the Twilight Nerds. We weren't the only ones who were nerdy like that. There was 4 theaters full of nerdy people there at midnight. And that was just at one movie theaters. lol We are already planning to do it when the next movie comes out.

Had a bad start today!!

I was picking Shannon up for work before I went to the gym this morning. I woke up 10 minutes later than I usually do. So of course I was speeding to get her to work on time. I got a speeding ticket 2 minutes from her work and she was really late then. :( That was a fine thank you after all she helped me this morning. Oh well I deserved it. Then when I got to the gym my ipod (my motivator) was dead. Blah!! Oh well, hopefully my day will get better.

Had a good day Yesterday!!

My beautiful clean pantry!!

This is my yummy lasagna I made for dinner. I even made the sauce from scratch. :) I was so proud, because I am not a cook!

I had a very productive day yesterday. Had a great workout. Got my daughters Christmas dress. Then came home and clean up my junk heap front room. Cleaned out my kids closets and dressers. Have 4 tubs of crap for Goodwill!!! :) Then my sister in law (the best one in the whole world) came over and helped me clean my pantry. It is so beautiful now!! It took us a couple hours. But we were supervising children. And I made a really yummy dinner for us. This is great because I don't cook!

Sore but Proud!

I have gotten back into my exercise routine this week. Yesterday was my best workout in a long time. I did a strictly strength class at the gym and pushed myself. I was so tired. But it felt so good. So I decided to go before work this morning and I did. It was tough getting up but I knew I would get a better workout before work than after. So I went and I started my run on the treadmill and I ran a whole mile!! That may not sound like a lot to some of you, but to me it was and awesome accomplishment!! I haven't done that since high school. :) I was so proud of myself. And the endorphins feel great too!!

Jeremy

Jeremy is such a funny kid. He will 5 the end of the month. I just wanted to share a couple of those darling pictures that he drew. We were playing Monopoly and he drew the one of the person behind bars. He said this is you mommy with your fat belly, you are in jail. lol I said that is not very nice of you to say someone is fat. He said no mommy there's a baby in your belly. I went oh no there's not. lol The other one is a picture of our cat. I just thought they were cute. The top one is his practice writing c's. I love it when they are starting to write and they write backwards.

My Anniversary

This is a picture from our anniversary. We celebrated 11 years on Sunday. It was really nice. My husband took me to a really nice restaurant called Donavan's. It was so yummy!! We have had such a good week.

The kiddos "driving" grandpa's big rig. Samantha got to start it twice. She was so excited.

This is Samantha at her basketball class. She loves to play and she is very good too!!

Jeremy lost his first tooth a couple of weeks ago. He is too little. :(

Samantha made this in sewing class. She is so talented

Jeremy wrote his whole name for the first time. Well almost his whole name. lol

My Anniversary!!

Today is my anniversary. 11 years of holy wedded bliss. lol Today is a day that I always think about how much my husband does for me everyday. He is keeping up the house right now because I have been working so much. I couldn't do it without him at home helping me so much. He runs our limo business, keeps track of our finances and keeps them out of the red, he cleans, cooks, bathes, launders, and makes sure our kids get where they need to go and have their vitamins and brush their teeth. He is such a help to me. I know I couldn't do it without him. Don't get me wrong, we fight plenty. But the good times far outweigh the bad. Thank you Ryan!! I love you!!

Guilt

I was having such guilt last night. Today is my 5th 12 hour shift in a row. And on Thursday I went to enrichment night and the gym after work, on Friday I had a meeting and went to dinner after work and last night I went to a birthday party after work. So my children hadn't seen me much. I was feeling like such a horrible mom. I was thinking to myself how could Heavenly Father give me such beautiful, loving children? I don't deserve them. When I came home last night they ran to the door and wrapped their arms around me and told me how much they love me. They are such understanding, forgiving children. What a blessing they are to my life. I am so lucky to have them.

Flowers

My patient and her family gave me flowers today. It made me feel so good and bad at the same time. It made me feel so good because I felt like she appreciated what I did to help in that special time in her life. I felt bad because they drove me crazy the first part of the day and I felt like I didn't put my best foot forward. I did feel like I worked really hard to help her deliver though because it was a rough delivery. I am grateful there are such nice people out there. :)
